Melrose On 4th Apartments & Brooklyn Heights Apartments

Melrose is the best apartment I've lived in so far! The building and rooms are beautiful and the office manager Amy is amazing! Shes very attentive and kind and has fixed any problem Ive run into over the year Ive lived here

I have lived here for 2 years now and I absolutely love it! I would highly recommend living here. Amy is always willing to go above and beyond for tenants. I truly feel like she cares about everyone here, and will do whatever it takes to help solve problems. I have never felt unsafe living here due to all of the cameras. These are the best apartments I have lived in!

I just recently moved into Melrose and I already love it here. The move in process went super smooth thanks to the help of Amy, the property manager. She was very helpful during the whole process of moving in. I highly recommend checking out Melrose and Brooklyn heights.

Ive lived here for two years now, and the following is what I have experienced: 1. incredibly loud neighbors who scream and blast music all day. Despite me having countless videos as evidence, I was told verbatim Its just part of living in an apartment. They also said their lease does not specify what to do in the occurrence of numerous complaints besides fining them, so they did absolutely nothing except telling me to call the police. 2. They will charge you for everything. The apartment I stayed in had a light bulb go out after two years of me staying, and they wanted to charge me $45. The lease states $45 charge for something the tenant does on purpose, like clogging a toilet. They also wanted to charge me $45 to change a shower head. They tried to charge me $400 upon moving out for things that were ALREADY BROKEN when I moved in. 3. There is an infestation of silverfish somewhere. Despite notifying maintenance and getting my apartment sprayed, I would constantly find them dead in my dead, my bathroom, my drawers. I will not be resigning my lease. There are many more small examples like very spotty wifi, the dishwasher being broken, the AC and heat not working for the whole apartment, but these are the biggest issues with staying here.

Nearing the end of my time here at EIU I felt it was only right to leave a review at the place Ive lived. The Melrose & Brooklyn Heights Apartments have provided me my home away from home! The amenities, wonderful staff, and close proximity to campus and campus life have all made my time hear in Charleston wonderful. I highly recommend!
