NetMath

The Netmath math courses are taught differently from typical University courses. They introduce concepts and teach you how the various techniques are connected, instead of simply expecting you to memorize abstract definitions and use cases. Having taken a Netmath Calculus III course over the summer, this was a breath of fresh air from my high school math courses. Although you are required to use the Mathematica scripting language, it acts more like a powerful graphing calculator than a typical programming language.

I took a course through NetMath and it was truly horrible. The class was Business Calculus, but since it was online I spent the vast majority of my time learning Mathable's coding language, not actual useful math. And, unlike the real world, I was not allowed to use a calculator at all. All of my work was done on the computer, but tests were paper & pencil, again with no calculator. My adviser was helpful, but the frustration that Mathable and NetMath provided was unbearable. I would leave 0 stars if I could.
