Swann Special Care Center

I have nothing negative to say about swann special care center they have an amazing staff. My sister Desiree has been there for over 25 years and when my family decided on to where she should be placed we decided to go with Swann special center bc such a great rating we did our research and just knew how amazing they care for my sister and other residents. Thank you to the staff of all the residents there.

Rude, racist, and a bad roach infestation. Strong Filipino presence, Caucasians and blacks are the minority and not treated fair or with respect for the most part. I cried my first night of training, nobody wanted to train me because I was black they had never had a conversation with me, just saw the color of my skin and said no. I brought it the attention of hr and in turn they tried to hire more blacks instead of reprimandeing staff but it was too late for me at that point. Ive hated almost every day I clocked in and worked there. Honestly the racism and disrespect starts from the top. The DON, Janie is the worst of them all.. talks to employees like trash just very rude and disrespectful for no reason other than the sun is shining. She has zero phone etiquette or any idea on how to talk to people overall. The pay is decent but since the recent raise there they have been cheap in other areas and trying to tighten up. Also be prepared to be sick here quite a bit and also be prepared to stay home even longer than your doctors recommendation. Janie is good about taking you off the schedule. The residents are almost always sick and in turn youll be sick as well. I wouldnt send my dog here to stay. Im speaking as a former black employee the last eight months.
