Ragstock Champaign

I waited to write this review, hoping that my experience was just a one-off type of situation. The store itself is nice, prices can be expensive depending on what you're looking for, but they also have amazing clearance and sales from time to time. That being said, it isn't worth putting up with the attitude of some of the staff. I've been in 4 times since the move to Market Street from Campus. Sometimes there is a group of people working, other times just a couple or someone is solo out front. There is one person in particular who just seems absolutely miserable and has no desire to be there. I don't need pandering, or even a greeting, I'm not bothered by someone not checking in on me as I'm shopping. What I have an issue with, is this employee is so bothered by actually having to do the job. My most recent visit was Sunday, 12/31/23- and the person working was rude to me, my sister in law, and my husband. She acted like it was such an inconvenience to unlock a dressing room for my sister in law, made my husband feel like a burden as he looked through the $6 flannel box, and then said in a very exasperated way, "I mean....I GUESS so" when I asked her a question. Then, when we went to check out, she was audibly sighing in a heavy manner, and when I put my things on the counter after my SIL checked out- she stared at me for a minute like she didn't know what to do so i moved my items further over, she didn't communicate at all (I don't care for small talk so I don't care) but she seemed so bothered by my existing as a customer, she told me the total, I paid, she sighed again as the receipt printed and she shoved it into my hand. I said "thanks, have a good day!" And left. I will not likely return because the whole experience just made me anxious and she's in there acting the same way every time I've been there. It's just gross business practice.

Their stuff is cute, especially for Halloween. Prices are decent. However, everything Ive bought from them has had its stiching fall out on the FIRST TIME I WORE IT. In addition to that, they didnt have a single pair of pants that fit me. They are not size inclusive, so keep that in mind as well.

Great if you are going to a themed Greek party; 90s, flannel, ugly sweater, mermaid, hippie, tarts and vickers. Or if you need a Rachel dress for the coffee shop.
