1 800 Water Damage of NW Suburban Chicago was recommended to us by our insurance company after our home received substantial water damage due to ice damming. Jeff Siegel and his team were responsive and fully understood what we were going through. Their communication was second to none. They were out quickly and reviewed what needed to be done and the reasons behind why they needed to do anything even though we didn't necessarily see the damage. His crews were hard working and arrived when scheduled and did a great job cleaning up on the front-end and completing the repairs on the back end. 1-800 Water Damage was very prompt, coming on a Friday evening within 1-2 hours of our call about our basement water problem (sump pump broke during one of the wettest weeks we've seen). Jeff stayed until he got the water out and set up fans and dehumidifiers; they returned the next day to remove the wet carpet, remove more water, and set up additional fans and dehumidifiers. They carefully tested the walls for moisture, etc. They checked daily until the basement was completely dry, and promptly removed all the equipment. Throughout the process they were extremely professional, carefully protecting the house and all our belongings, including moving fragile items out of harm's way and putting furniture on blocks, and keeping us appraised at all phases. Jeff also explained what to expect from the insurance company. All extremely helpful; I could not recommend them more highly. Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair
