Great at communication but lousy at providing what the patient and family needs as far as supplies. We were told they would no longer provide pull-ups for my mom because she also uses diapers (at night). Regardless of the fact that she needs them, they said no. They also will not provide wet wipes, which are another necessity when dealing with a stage 7 dementia patient. They treat their dying patients like numbers, always more concerned with their bottom line than the welfare of the patient and their family.

I own a local healthcare company and our firm works side by side with CNS in the homes of our mutual patients. We know their nurses, social workers and admin staff. They are an exceptionally high practice firm that provides the top tier of healthcare and hospice services in DuPage and Kane Counties. Our area is fortunate to have them here locally. They meet the "Mom Test" for me. If my mother needed their services, our family would be blessed to have CNS in her home, period! Since they are part of NW Medicine, they are an extension in the home of what starts at Central DuPage and DelNor Hospitals. Upon discharge CNS steps in and continues that great care in the home. They are Joint Commission accredited in their services and have multi-tiered and complex Illinois state licensure. They have been serving our area with this great service since the late 1950's. Highly recommended!

I was so amazed and impressed with the care my mother received from CNS Hospice. They were kind and so compassionate. My mother was well cared for by her nurse, and never once was uncomfortable or treated like she was "just another number". The on call staff were fabulous and responded very quickly - despite the terrible weather the night I had to call. I am very thankful for them in supporting my mom and myself thru our journey.
