The Coveny Prestige Team

During our visit to an open house in Buffalo Grove, IL, my fianc, family, and I followed a handful of people into the house, as there was no realtor at the door to greet us. As potential homebuyers, we wanted to inspect the house thoroughly for any faults. So, we started with the living room, and immediately noticed that the windows were not closing properly and inspected it further by fiddling with the latch. No harm in that, right? Suddenly, we heard an angry and agitated voice from Penny Silich, who we later learned was the realtor. She approached us from behind and aggressively asked, "What are you doing?! Why are you opening the windows? I've never opened the windows!" She proceeded to strut over to the windows with her hands in the air, inspected them, and then walked back to the kitchen. She then went on a rant to two other ladies, who we assumed were her business partners. She repeatedly shouted, "Where is my phone? I can't find my phone! Gosh, these people are walking in like it's a free-for-all!" Despite our presence and that of our realtor, Silich completely dismissed us, showing a lack of professionalism and respect for her guests. Her comments were callous and unwelcoming, and she failed to lead her team effectively, as they were unable to manage the numerous influx of viewers to avoid the free-for-all. We found Silich to be the most unprofessional person we have ever had the displeasure of working with, and strongly advise against doing business with her.

The first thing I heard when I came in was Penny complaining about other visitors. It was incredibly awkward and made my entire party feel unwelcome. She seems to lack professionalism. Her remarks to other's questions seemed very dismissive and unapproachable. Would recommend an alternative if at all possible.

I went to an open house hosted by Penny Silich and the Prestige team yesterday in Buffalo Grove. All I can say is that with as many people that were there (at least over 100) while my agent, wife, and I walked through the house, Penny and her team handled themselves with the utmost professionalism by answering all questions thoroughly as we asked them. Penny followed up with my agent today and mentioned the negative reviews written about her, so I felt obligated to leave this review. As one could infer by being at a crazy open house during a hot market, there were a fair share of people being discourteous. My agent ended up complaining about some attendees of the open house to Penny, who handled the situation professionally and courteously. Aside from these minor hiccups due to the influx of people at the open house, I would be happy to work with Penny again down the line!

There are few thing, if any, in my life that I regret more than doing business with Susan Coveny. Susan and her staff, particularly her property manager Mara Sabath, are the most inept, inconsiderate, and unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. They will do everything and anything to defer blame and leave a tenant high and dry. Throughout our arrangement I routinely caught them in lies, had communication ignored, waited over a month (despite numerous attempts of communication) to get important appliances fixed, and was forced to take legal action over a flooding and moldy condo that was never fixed. I have rented in multiple cities for over 10 years and have never experienced anything like this. No matter what you've done or where you are from, if you do one thing right in your life, it should be to never do business with Susan Coveny and staff.
