BC Towing AKA Denny's Towing; owner Denny Spradling on State St. in Belvidere, IL is the biggest rip off and worst towing company that I have ever had to deal with. My 17 year old son went off the road going around a curb on Beloit Rd swerved to miss hitting an animal. He went into the ditch. I was not in town but received the call from the police and told them I was 40 min. away and would be there. Sheriffs dept. called Dennys/BC Towing (they mysteriously hide behind these 2 names to confuse the consumer because of shady business practices). Truck was towed and in-pounded because he was a juvenile and I could not be at the scene immediately to sign him off. I was back in town and called to get the truck back at approximately 90 min after receiving call from sheriffs dept. Denny's towing would not release the truck to me because of being on a Saturday. I was told I had to wait until regular business hours on Monday but was going to be charged $65/day storage on top of $200 tow. I was charged for 3 days of storage $195 plus $200=total $395. It should not have been towed to begin with just in the open field ditch with no other vehicles or persons involved. The biggest problem is when we needed to get ADHD/anti-depresant meds out of the glove box and Denny wanted to charge me $150 to get into the truck. DO NOT USE this towing company or you will be ripped off and if having to be towed by the police tell them that you do not want BC Towing/Denny's towing. It is a shame that we have to deal with people like Denny Spradling in our community who is eager to take advantage of us and especially our children. My son worked very hard to save that money for winter tires on his truck to have to give it such a shady, belligerent , money scamming company!!!
