You would do best to have an appointment. If you are over 65 or disabled you may do a walk-in but you have a better shot early in the morning. If you go late in the afternoon and they have appointments filling up the rest of their time slots, they will turn you away. I went at 9am. Just needed to renew my license (no tests). Was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Staff was very pleasant, polite & professional. Good job DMV!!

Worker put the wrong date in computer for a temporary DOT medical card for my cdl license. When I came back with the approved 1 year card, the date didn't match with the one originally entered. She wanted me to go back to the doctor and have the doctor change the date to the "wrong" date entered. The doctor wouldn't falsify information. I went to the Belleville facility where they took all my info and faxed it to Springfield and rectified the problem. ESL facility didn't even care to fix their own mistake!
