Blue Whale is now owned by a different company and is based in Batavia. Since I had a good experience in the past, I called with an issue over the weekend to be sure I could get in line for Monday. After hearing nothing into the early afternoon on Monday, I called the office. The reception person said she would have a tech call me. An hour+ later, I had heard nothing back, and since it was getting late in the day I called again. Apparently the staff was on a "big job" with no idea of how long it could take. She wanted to push me off til the next day; I declined (this was why I called ahead!) She said, "I already waived the $100 emergency fee"...what emergency? It's not like my place was flooding, and when I called I didn't say, "I need a plumber in an hour" or something. It's apparently because "they wouldn't be in the area." I finally had her cancel the appointment. The new parent company is A&P Grease Trapping, and the Blue Whale number is now answered "A&P," which was confusing until I looked it up. But I do not recommend this plumber any longer; the scheduling and customer care needs a lot of work with this new arrangement.
