For the second year in a row, I was denied to participate in the horse-riding program. The official reason from Joy was there were only 10 slots. Current clients at NBC have higher priority. What Joy failed to mentioned is that I've been with NBC since 2017.(1) Every Monday I attended the fitPD class where my husband assisted with the clients. There's only one instructor with as much as 13 clients.(2) Every Wednesday I did Pilate with Margaret.(3) Every Wednesday I did physical therapy with Gwen.(4) In 2017, I contributed to NBC.(5) Since 2017, there was only one occasion where Joy assisted me was with the Triple Flex. Margaret did all the leg work.  All the other times, she didn't acknowledge me as a person let alone a simple hello.(6) In 2018, my out-of-pocket expense was $308.60.(7) Since 2018, every Monday I brought in almond cookies, current magazines, and tea.(8) In 2018, I contributed four containers of almond cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and oatmeal raisin cookies to the summer picnic.(9) In 2019, my out-of-pocket expense was $1,254.12.(10) All participants in the PD class got acknowledge for their birthday.(11) Margaret and Gwen got Christmas presents.(12) Margaret got birthday presents.NBC is dubbed as non-profit. It's more about showmanship. Here are examples where it is for-profit.(1) In 2018, I had money left over from a donor. I wanted to carry over the money to next year. Joy's exact words were "everyone has to pay."(2) There are three people in the front desk. Do you really need more than 0 person?(3) An outside vendor takes the mats for cleaning during the winter and put cleaned ones in.(4)  There are six chairs in the infusion room and yet I fail to see a single person.  Clients have to bring in their own nurse.  Clients pay once to use the infusion room as well as pay for their own nurse. This is dead space and should be turned into music therapy.(5) Is the library really necessary? I haven't seen anyone use the library except for Tom and Ali where they meet every day.  Ali has been gone for three years.Again this is dead space and should be turned into art therapy.(6) Nightly cleaning service.(7) Snow removal service.(8) Landscaping service.(9) boxed milk are in the refrigerator for a fee.  The milk has an expiration date and causes flare-up for MSer.  (10) the two bikes to the left of NuStep are not being used.  I haven't seen one person use it.(11) why not turn the gym into pay membership where clients can come in and use it while NBC is open.(12) the instructor for the Tai Chi class is bad for the family tree.  My husband has been doing Tai Chi for over 40 years so he knows what Tai Chi is and isn't.(13) Joy is drawing a $250K+ salary.  How about showing up at NBC before 11AM six days a week?(14) Joy's dog needs to be kept in her office.  Some of us have are allergic to dog.  I attended a PD class where the dog did his business in the gym. Before Joy writes someone off, she should think about the client's future contributions.  Your client base is your income base.  The average client is a senior citizen living on a fixed income and disability.  They're not getting any younger.  Unless major changes take place, your client base is dwindling.  For example, you have a die-hard client that comes in five days a week.  She no longer come due to financial constraints.  She's living off social security and disability.  She no longer can afford to come.  However, she does hippotherapy for the past 15 years where she has 0 co-pay.  She's attended by a physical therapist on the left, another to lead the horse, a side walker, and someone to put her on a harness and place her on the horse.  That's four people dedicated to her for half an hour compared to 1 PTA for 13 clients as in fitPD.  There's also a half hour discussion afterwards.  The meeting starts off with an inspirational card and an inspirational bookmark.  It's followed by a bottled water and almond cookies. Clients in this facility range from 3 months old to 103 years old with the average age of 53.
