Called Neil and Harden Builders to scope out a project at my home. Turns out my project wasnt a fit for the types of project Hardin typically does, but Neil gave me an amazing consultation over the phone and helped direct me to the right services I needed. He was so knowledgeable and straightforward. Definitely the type of person I would want supporting any project at my home!!

Neil and his team recently built a custom home for our family and we couldn't be more pleased with his finite level of detail and professionalism. Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience with Hardin Builders. I gave Hardin Builders a $7,000 deposit and no work ever began. Neil gave me a verbal quote and requested a $7,000 deposit to get on his schedule. 11 months later I finally received a written quote which was much higher than his verbal quote we agreed upon and the budget we discussed. Nothing about the scope of the worked changed from his verbal quote to his written quote. I requested a refund of my $7,000 deposit since his written quote was significantly over budget but was denied. I work in the home improvement industry and spoke to several contractors in the Barrington Area and within the 25 mile radius of my sales territory; not one contractor has ever collected any money to provide a written quote.
