Our doctor uses BM Mediclaims to conduct their billing. Normally, we don't have any problems, but the last time I paid them, I paid 2 separate bills using 1 check, one for $12 and one for $100. They applied the check to my $12 bill and not to my husband's $100 bill, but took the full $112 out of my bank account. Admittedly, I should have used 2 separate checks, but I didn't think it would cause such a large issue. I called to try to solve the issue and was yelled at, given an email address for Bena, and then hung up on. I sent a copy of my check to Bena, who ignored my multiple attempts to contact her until the bill was ultimately sent to collections. Basically, they took $100 from me that was never applied to my husband's medical bill. I included both bills with my check so that they knew which bills to apply my check to, but apparently they don't care enough to look into it any further. I'm just going to eat the cost - I'm done fighting. But if you are a doctor's office looking for a medical billing company, there have to be better options for you than a company that stole $100 and then refuse to investigate or communicate.
