RUSH Copley Cardiovascular, a Department of RUSH Copley Medical Center - Yorkville

My husband went there for stitches. He sat and waited 2.5 hours. He said several patients walked out without being treated due to the length of the wait. Okay, so he finally gets the stitches. The entire time he tells the facility that he got hurt at home. Well, here is where the story starts to suck... the facility allows third parties to bill separately for the physician's charges. The third party says they want workers comp insurance information and doesn't want to bill our private insurance because the ER tells them he suffered an injury at work. I had to call back to the Rush Patient Accts Dept because that's what the 3rd party tells me to do. I got a very rude, very snappy and very feisty associate whose name is C***y and she was a bitter pill to talk to telling me they aren't getting involved with this 3rd party and yet it is the company she resprents fault for miscoding his injury as a work injury even though his story never changed that it wasn't a worker's comp claim. I hate Rush with a passion and wish he would've gone to Delnor Hospital. Wasted over 1 hour on the telephone trying to straighten out a financial mess thanks a bunch.

Waiting room and exam room were dirty. And it was first thing in the morning so it wasn't like there had been a lot of people that had gone through yet. Nurse practitioner came off as condescending and dismissive . Performed covid test without asking me for consent on my 8 year old.

I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be a really good hospital. Very friendly staff, doctors and nurses. The nurses are now so so and the doctors The doctors just seem like they're suspicious that you're trying to get drugs. I brought my daughter here a couple weeks ago. Cause we were both sick. I the doctor only saw us for a few minutes. And then we left no real suggestions on what to do with our illness. As in our symptoms. Even though there is a virus going around. Then my husband got sick and we took him there. And the doctor there just seemed like he didn't really want to help us. So I took my husband to Valley West. They x rated chest and found that he had a long infection. I don't know what's going on at this place. But the staff really needs to step it up. And start having a friendlier atmosphere. The last few times I needed to come here. We just felt like we were very unwanted on. Welcome like they had better things to do with their time.
