My daughter(6) was diagnosed with convergency insufficiency and Divergence excess and has been seeing Dr. Michael DeStefano for vision therapy and we couldn't happier with the service we have received. He is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My daughter enjoyed every session she's had, he made the sessions very fun yet challenging. Dr. Margolis is also very professional and thorough. He answered all my questions, and explained every part of the exam and what type of therapy we needed. He made my daughter feel safe and comfortable. The office staff are also very friendly and helpful, which makes the visits even more pleasant. I am so grateful to have found this place and highly recommend it.

Both of my children (now 12 and 8) have benefited immensely from the care of Visual Symptoms. When they first started to complain of visual issues I knew exactly where to take them. I myself was a patient of Visual Symptoms (over 30 years ago), and the work they did with me to correct some muscle imbalances was vital in who I am today. I can see better, my eyes work better together, etc. Dr. DeStefano has been working with my youngest daughter for well over a year now and the progress I have seen is remarkable. I have accompanied Ruby to her appointments a few times and I can not get over how much he cares about his patients. It is evident as the vision issues have eased up and will continue to do so with more therapy. 100% recommended!

Dr Margolis saved my sons life !!! My son had concussion years ago - we went to every hospital in the area - also to children Memorial - they did absolutely nothing!!!! ( other than pain medication for headaches) Dr Margolis - came on his day off to see my son (- because all appointments were booked) He explained that its gonna be a long process with getting different glasses, vestibular therapy.. This doctor was the only one who help my son with concussion symptoms!!!! Highly recommended!!!

My daughter was diagnosed with Occular Dysfunction when she was in the middle of third grade by Dr Margolis. She struggled for her first several years of school not being able to read. The school suggested a possible ADD diagnosis but as a Child Adolescent Therapist I knew different. My daughter received a year of Vision Therapy through Dr Margolis office... Alexis met with her. Our insurance wouldnt cover it but we took a chance that this would help. Well my daughter is a Freshman in College , graduated from High School with State Honors and I want to say because of that year commitment of vision therapy it completely changed the trajectory of her life. I didnt do a health grades review before because honestly sometimes we do things to try to help our kids and we never know if it will help our children or not. Dr Margolis and his team made a difference to my daughters life and I will always be thankful for that. He is thee best!

The short version: Great doctor. He's very knowledgeable, and he answers questions in full. He doesn't belittle or dismiss questions, symptoms, and thoughts. The staff are all wonderful as well. My vision therapist Kristine was pleasant to work with. I just finished my sessions and I'm very close to normal again with almost no symptoms, and I'm very grateful to have found this place. Long version: I developed vision issues very suddenly, and had to take medical leave from work because I couldn't read. I saw numerous specialists, including an ophthalmologist who shrugged their shoulders and gave vague, unhelpful suggestions. Months later I paid out of pocket to see Dr Margolis, since he was recommended to me, and he figured out the issue from day 1. He told me things I'd been trying to tell everybody else, such as the issue is with my focusing, not my actual vision. (I failed to mention many things to him because I'd been shamed and dismissed by other professionals who thought they knew better). They worked with my insurance to get coverage. As I mentioned before, I went through vision therapy and am now close to normal again. If I didn't come across Dr Margolis's office I probably would have had to leave the work force altogether. I would give him 6 stars if I could. I highly recommend going here.
