I moved from Boise to Kimberly ID and the difference is immense between the two franchises. Never had an issue with the Boise Right Now. So thats why I called them first.
The technician came out to diagnose my furnace (2 hrs late). The technician found the issue right away. The wire connection to the inducer motor was not tight and the connection wasnt good. The recommendation was to replace the assembly. Quote $1,383.. why replace the whole motor if its just a loose wire? No answer. (Service charge $100) 20 mins of work.
The next day another tech came out (appointment was for 3-5) 5-10 mins late again. The appointment was for AC tune up. The tech spent most of her time going over the previous techs work. She found another issue with the furnace (capacitor was out of spec). Then she went and looked at the AC. And another recommendation for more money. All time spent 40 mins ($38 because I had a coupon for the tune up)

Called a second company and they came the same day (on time). They confirmed the first two issues. However the cost was significantly less, and they explained the options more completely. Why replace the motor? Because this tech found that the motor connector prong was broken back into the motor and is unfixable.
Inducer assembly $320 (parts)
Capacitor $40 (part)
$150 labor done in 1 hour.
Condenser $0 because the tech thinks that because its spring and they dont think they could get a proper load to recommend a change. Though we have an appointment for a future service with this new company.
Long story short. I cant trust this company because every-time they look at something its $500. Or a recommendation to do a full replacement of the furnace and AC. When they dont really need to but its to there benefit to make you believe you do.

They gave me a 1/2 hour heads up when the tech worker would come. Matthew was the the technician and did a thorough job, didnt try to take any shortcuts. Didnt make a mess, if he did then he cleaned it up thoroughly!

Wow! He was so thorough in trying to figure out why the heat pump had quit working. He was pleasant to talk to and ask questions. He was great!
