This place has a bunch of bozos that work here they keep sending me emails for Terry's appointments every month and I contact them to tell them this isn't her email but they keep sending them, so if you want to come out of their looking like a bozos then go here otherwise go to a place where they know how to correct things.

Ive been debating whether or not leaving this review for almost two months now, since my appointment with Ali. I usually only leave reviews if the place is extremely good or extremely bad, given that Sandpoint is a small town fueled by small businesses. But for that very reason I think we deserve better services. I feel sometimes people get away with giving mediocre quality service due to lack of competition and high demand. I had my appointment with Ali, after some back and forth from her end changing my time and canceling my appointment. This was due to school being canceled and her kids needing to stay at home, which I totally get and I dont base my one star rating on but I thought it was worth mentioning. To start with, her nails were so long she literally scratched my scalp whilst washing my hair. It hurt for a week afterwards and it was a miracle I didnt get an infection. She hurt it so badly I couldnt even brush my hair for days. Extremely concerning. The time for the haircut came around and I showed her a picture of a shoulder-length cut that she barely glanced at. My hair was waist-long. She grabbed it and chopped it about two inches over my shoulders at once, much shorter than what I had asked for, no room for error. My hair grows very fast, so again, even though this is actually a big deal, its not what Im basing my rating on. I had asked for layers for movement. I can confidently say she has no idea of how to accomplish that, and here is the main reason for my rating: I just had my hair fixed (at a different place, obviously, by someone who actually knows what theyre doing). When this stylist was looking at my hair, he asked me if I had cut it myself. When I said I had paid $60 to have that done, he asked me I they had cut it using their teeth. The more he worked on my hair, the more shocked he was. He said there were non-sensical chunks all over my head and that not even a hair dressing student would cut hair like that. After my appointment with Ali I was immediately disappointed, but I still had to leave a 20% tip because, well, Sandpoint. To add insult to injury, the overall experience was miserable. I was yelled at the entire time I was on her chair, while she was trying to make pointless conversation and small talk over the sounds of blow dryers and equipment being used around us. I left with a headache from that and having my scalp destroyed by her nails. Going to the salon should be a moment for relaxation. I dont want to be yelled at, Im not interested in making small talk, I dont want to have my scalp scratched to the point of pain, and Im expecting a decent haircut.
