Rexburg Vision Center

My recent experience here, starting on 3/11/24, has been very disappointing. When I returned to pick up my new frames, the temples didnt match. My spouse also noticed a significant amount of glare. When I asked RVC about the mismatched pattern on temple frames, they said sometimes thats how they come from the manufacturer. I picked out a style with light gray/white on both sides, but the frames I was given had one temple side with a yellow streak. They said the glare is due to the blue light feature. I wasnt told this when I picked out the frames. I opted for a new set of frames that had matching temples. Fingers crossed, they came back matching. Ive also had to return to RVC 4+ times to adjust the nose pads/temples, which have made painful red marks and are still not right. My order included hi-index lenses with a scratch coating that is also thinner due to my astigmatism, premium anti-reflective coating, and apparently blue light. My out-of-pocket cost was $298, not including my annual insurance lens of one hundred and something + exam insurance benefit. Fed up with the nose pads/temple adjustments that RVC still cant get right, I visited the Idaho Falls Costco this evening at my wifes suggestion and ordered a new pair. The anti-reflective treatment, no scratch, and blue light are all built into the lenses. Also, there are no nose pads on these new frames. With my insurance benefit exhausted from RVCs incompetence, my total out-of-pocket at Costco was $144.98. I will never use RVC again. Im wearing my old glasses until my new Costco glasses arrive.

Dr. Mortensen and all the staff were very professional and friendly! The office is clean and modern. They have most stream lined service Ive ever experienced at an eye doctor! To top it all off, they had a year supply of my contact prescription for me to take home!

Vision is the name of the game, but when it comes to eye contact and customer service, theres something to be said about this Vision center. I stood and heard about two different personal conversations the clerk had with different employees. Finally, upon goodbye, she made eye contact. I felt like a pariah. Maybe my shirt had a few too many wrinkles? Anyway, I was there to correct a charge they mistakenly made two and a half years ago by overcharging me. They really need to pay more attention to their customers. I had to track that money down Also, I went to another doctor and told him that my Rexburg Vision Center glasses helped with blue light. He analyzed my glasses and told me that there was no blue light filter on them. My newly printed receipt from the Rexburg Vision Center charged me for a blue light filter that isnt there, it seems.

We were visiting from out of town and they so graciously helped us out of a contact lens predicament. They were kind, understanding and generouswent above and beyond!
