Before his board and train at Method K9, our dog couldn't tolerate being around new dogs, new people - or even my wife and I - if we talked or laughed too loud without erupting into an unstoppable fit of barking. His anxiety seemed totally uncontrollable and we nearly lost all hope that he could ever handle these situations. We no longer have to worry about any of these issues, and our dog is happy and fulfilled. My parents simply said, "Well... he's just a joy to have around, now." the first time they saw him after the board and train. Worth every penny.

2 weeks ago another of my dreams came true. I was lucky enough to make it to a Method K9 shadow program after I had to cancel the whole trip last year because of covid. Ever since I had found Stephanie on social media I knew I would be working and learning from her in person one day. It was not the easiest journey, but boy, it was worth all the challenges I had to go through to make it happen. Stephanie's energy and the way how she goes about doing things resonated with me immediately even through media so I knew if I would spend some time in her presence I could only benefit from it. And I did! As I often say, if you want to become the best one day, you must learn from the best every day, no matter what it takes. Stephanies and Juliuss work ethic, focus, determination, and attention to every single detail are inspiring and contagious. The way how they treat those animals, educate humans and run the whole business should be studied by every inspiring dog trainer or dog enthusiast out there and many, many dogs would appreciate it. Love and passion are the fundamental vibrations of that entire place. Hard to replicate but worthwhile to try at least! For those who think about joining the shadow program or any of Method K9 services, you dont have to think again. You or your dog will be in the best hands you can wish for and eventually will get much more than you could ever expect. Thank you again, Stephanie, Julius, and the whole Method K9 team for this opportunity, for the warm welcome, and for all the knowledge you were willing to share with us. I only wish I could stay longer to practice mastering this craft to the point Stephanie and her team mastered it. Well done Method K9!

Everything about your experience with Method K9 is top notch. From the first phone call to the last email, every component of this company is professional, polite, well organized, and clear in direction and communication. Their entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Everything they do is done with love and a passion to help the people and dogs of their community and worldwide. Their facility is held to as high of a standard as their work ethic, and the cleanliness level they have set is amazing from top to bottom. I had the pleasure of attending the Shadow Student Program and left with a wealth of knowledge and a new sense of understanding for the craft that is dog training and rehabilitation. Thank you so much to all the wonderful people at Method K9 for providing high quality programs for dogs, their parents, trainers, and foster parents!

I recently attended Method K9s Shadow Program to observe and learn from one of the best trainers in the business! Stephanie is an inspiration to me (and many others in the dog industry) and the results she gets are unmatched. As a dog trainer, it is invaluable to learn from other trainers in the industry so I jumped at the opportunity to learn from and shadow under Stephanie, and I am SO happy that I did. After following Method K9 for a few years on social media and watching it grow into the incredible business that it is today, getting to see the facility and meet Stephanie in person felt surreal! Both Stephanie and Julius are incredibly kind, caring and down to earth people who are very passionate about what they do and it shows in every single one of their interactions with both dogs & humans. These characteristics are evident in all of their staff members as well, and I felt very welcome from the moment I walked through the doors. The dog industry is extremely competitive and it can be challenging to find trainers who are willing to share their secrets. Stephanie and her team have absolutely nothing to hide; they are extremely transparent and open to sharing all of their knowledge to help other trainers, owners and dog people reach their full potential and ultimately give the best care and training to every single dog. The Shadow Program allowed me to: (1) gain a new perspective on dog training, (2) fine tune my own training approach and (3) learn new techniques for achieving long-lasting results. I also feel like I have a better understanding of the WHY behind so many of the things I was already doing which will help me communicate with my own clients more effectively. I am so grateful that I got this opportunity to learn from Stephanie, connect with other like-minded trainers and further grow my skillset as a dog trainer. The Shadow Program experience is one that I will never forget! I cant wait to see how Method K9 continues to grow in the future and I hope to stay connected with them for many years to come :) Love of love from Ontario, Canada - Jess @balancedbehaviourdogtraining

Oh my goodness, where do I start? I applied for Method K9s Shadow Program because I have that dog that most trainers say, this works for 99% of dogs, but not yours. I adopted my rescue pup, Bella (husky) at a wee young age of ~8 wks with high hopes and goals for her. Since she was a puppy, I thought she was a blank slate that I can train to be anything and everything I wanted her to be. However, at around 4 months, my confident little pup began exhibiting extreme fear behaviors that were not typical. Although she knew all of her basic commands and tasks, she started becoming very anxious or flighty and easily overstimulated by many normal things in life (e.g., a gush of wind against her face, a trash bin that had fallen over, seeing a new boulder in our neighborhood, her own siblings!!!). I didnt understand why this was happening because I thought I did all the right things for proper puppy raising (i.e., exposed her to the world while really young in a carrier before vax, parked at places to people/dog watch, took her with me to run errands, enrolled in a balanced training program). We almost got denied by a local puppy school because they said that she may be better off at a board-and-train. At that time, I could not believe that a 4-month-old puppy could be that clinically impaired so we kept her in school where she worked with the head trainer 8hrs/day, 3x/week x12 wks and left with limited progress. I blamed myself for her temperament (thinking I mustve done something wrong) until two trainers told me that her fearfulness was very genetic. Fast fwd to a year later (after 4 trainers, 2 online programs and beyond), I found myself feeling utterly defeated and contemplating life at 2AM when I stumbled across Method K9s Shadow Program post. It was that night when I got the crazy idea that if I couldnt send Bella off to a board-and-train (due to her genetic health condition thats another story), I would send MYSELF off to a board-and-train so I could learn everything I needed to know from one of the best trainers in the nation. Needless to say, the Shadow Program was everything I expected and more. I thought I knew all of the basics of dog training, but Stephanie pointed out things that I actually never realized or was never told. I love how she focuses her training around the mindset of the dog, instead of just the behavior. She is also a great speaker, very direct and detailed when explaining things, and takes time to address everyones questions. I also did not doze off one bit during the whole 7- to 8-hr day, and that says a lot because I typically get bored easily. It was also nice to have my peers in class be professional dog trainers, so I could have discussions with them at a higher level. Overall, I am so glad I attended the program. Its a crazy feeling to know that I now have more knowledge of dog behavior than many of the dog trainers around. (I just have to put in the work to practice what I've learned.) It's a great feeling to know how to treat the whole dog, and not just bits and pieces of behavior. Its a great feeling to not feel hopeless anymore. Thank you, Stephanie & team. You guys are amazing!
