I'm on a Water User Association, so I can't change the filter myself. When my Association came to change it they didn't do it right so it stopped working. Gavin came and quickly fixed the problem, and I'm so happy.

They bring salt every month and let me know if there is anything going on with our water softener

I just bought a home that came with an owned water softener. I'd have never had one before and just wanted to understand how it worked, how to maintain and if it was working properly. Even though it was not a Culligan unit they sent someone to walk me through the use and care. Danny was the service tech they sent and he was amazing. He answered all my questions, gave me clear instructions and was happy to help. He called on his way over and they called the day before to confirm. Thank you for the amazing customer service.

We had a water softener and a aquasential smart ro installed roughly 3 weeks ago. I was told that the ro unit would need the filters replaced about once a year or after 1000 gallons of water. There is only one person that lives in my home. I drink between 5-6 glasses of water a day -- roughly 64 ounces or about 1/2 a gallon of water. The unit cost almost $2500 and is already telling me that I've used 600 gallons of water. That means that every 5-6 weeks you will need to replace the filters (and the membrane?) which means this system will also cost you about $1200/year in filters -- with the membrane being another $100ish dollars (if memory serves) every time you have to replace it. What I'd really like to know is where all the water is going because if you do the math 3 weeks at 0.5 gallon is roughly 10.5 gallons of water. So, where did the other 585.5 gallons go? I have a feeling either these systems are meant to over report usage in order to sell you new filters or that the tank is constantly refilling itself which is almost kind-of the same thing... I haven't even mentioned the fact that not even 20 minutes after the system was installed we had a leak. Culligan did comes out 3 days later to fix it... So, I guess that's something. EDIT: Called this morning and they will be out Friday to take a look at the unit. From a service perspective they've been pretty good. Will see how this Friday goes.
