I recently needed a same day appointment for a rather embarrassing reason and Sarah Franetti, PA-C was amazing! She made me feel at ease and was very caring and compassionate. I appreciate her professionalism and her support. I would definitely see her again!

I waited for 2 months to see a doctor regarding menapause issues and got nothing handled and told to see an internal medicine doctor which would be another year!

It has taken me awhile to process this situation because it is the most traumatic medical experience I have ever had. I'd give zero stars but I can't. I came in last fall for a colposcopy and the treatment I received was disappointing from before, to during, and especially after. I was told that I could take ibuprofen ahead of time, that the procedure would not hurt (a pinch and some cramping they say!) so I would not need any sort of meds or numbing for the procedure, and that I should feel back to normal that day or the next. The procedure included, but was not limited to, 4 hole punch biopsies of my cervix. Raw. The procedure mostly consisted of 3 women insisting that it's not so bad, it's almost over, Im doing great, etc. While I lay crying, tensing, and vulnerable on the table. I felt like they were trying to convince me that I was not actually in pain when I was. After the procedure, all 3 of them promptly left me sobbing alone on the table. When I was finally able to sit up to get dressed, the first thing I saw was a tray of bloody medical utensils. I was finally able to leave the room, but thank goodness I took it upon myself to have my sister bring me because I was in no state to drive, contrary to what they instructed me to expect. There was no follow-up appointment or aftercare instructions offered. 2 Days later I received aftercare instructions by email, but by this time I was on my way in for an emergency lunchtime appointment because the pain was keeping me from sleeping at night and from working during the day. When I first came in, I was told no less than four times that they had never, not once, heard of someone having pain after a colposcopy procedure. As inspiring as they may think that story was, it was also extremely invalidating. I am someone. I was in pain and standing right in front of them. They were telling me I did not matter. Before addressing my pain, they inappropriately asked me if anyone had told me I had a bad result and needed a LEEP procedure. I was there for my current intolerable level of pain, not to talk about vaguely future possible procedures, but thats where they took the focus. Again, they were showing me that my pain didnt matter. I expressed that there was no way I could do that awake after what Id just gone through. They ASSURED me that NO ONE would ever put me under anesthesia for a LEEP procedure and that I was just going to have to deal with it! At this point I got up and left, was checked out by my PCP, and referred to a trauma-informed provider for my LEEP. Right across the hall. They offered me sedation with no hesitation and told me that many people experience pain during and after a colposcopy and that they were sorry I had to deal with that. My LEEP went great. After my colposcopy I was in intolerable pain for 10 full days before the pain level dropped enough to feel somewhat normal. After my LEEP I had mild pain for only a couple of days. The way you do the procedure matters and it is a shame that women's health is treated in such a way. If a man needed a metal utensil shoved inside him to pull pieces of flesh from his body, there's no way he wouldn't get drugs and numbing. Do better. Dont go to St Lukes Womens Clinic looking for compassion and care. You wont find it there.
