This is my alternative to shopping at the mall. Usually find good deals there but my size seems to be slim pickings lately. Still good to peruse the store. Cleaner and more organized than the other Ross in the valley

The store was neat and clean even though it had been a busy week with spring break shoppers. This location is always above the others in the area.

I rarely get "me" time to just go out and relax and shop. I was looking at everything in the store enjoying my "me" time. I noticed pretty quickly though that I was being watched by loss prevention. Followed around by one employee who posed as if she was working. There was nothing suspicious about my browsing. I was just taking my time and enjoying being out. Needless to say, the experience ruined my rare outing. I bought some stuff for me and my daughter but really should have just gone somewhere else to shop. Lesson learned. I wouldn't go back anyway as there is little to nothing in terms of variety and quality like there was in the past. One thing I noticed too was this nice girl at the register welcomed everyone who entered the store. After she rang up my items, she asked her manager if she could take her break. The lady didn't acknowledge her and seemed put out by the request. Just a bad experience all the way around. They need to learn better how to profile people who are shop lifters. I would never steal from a store. It seems like my $400 purse I was carrying would have been a clue that I would pay for the six things in my cart. Whatever

There once was a time when this was a good store... tidy and orderly with attentive floor staff. Tonight I was greatly disappointed to find the store in extreme disarray despite the fact that there were at least five floor staff that I could see and two people at the cash registers. Nonetheless, I decided I would do my shopping anyway and just as I got going a child in the back corner of the store was screaming as though it's hair was on fire... This went on for a solid 20 minutes. Nobody even looked sideways. I didn't see a single member of the store staff go or even look in that direction. Having worked in retail for many years as a young woman, I totally understand that children will sometimes have a meltdown... And it's more frequent on the weekends. I get it. However this was more than a meltdown... I've raised two children and I have four grandchildren. I have seen meltdowns before. The manager on duty should have at the VERY LEAST, investigated to confirm that the child had not been injured somehow. Upon finding that the child had not been injured but was simply throwing what can only be described as a walleyed fit of epic proportion, the manager should have politely invited the parents to take their child outside to the parking lot until the matter could be resolved. Meanwhile, myself and 6 to 10 other patrons were patiently waiting in line to pay so we could get out of there but there was only one cashier working the cash register while another one busied herself picking up hangers and doing some other menial tasks that could certainly have waited until the people standing in line had been serviced. I believe my days shopping at this particular Ross Dress for Less have come to a close. I do not wish to nor do I intend to return.
