Bright Shining Stars Preschool

We LOVE Bright Shining Stars! Our son started preschool at Challenger School for his first year and was such a vibrant excited little boy. But he just did not fit the rigid “mold” there and they soon labeled him as a “problem child”. My little 3 year old became withdrawn and sullen, having frequent outbursts and he began to hate school. A few months in he started crying during every drop off, because he didn’t want to be there! We didn’t feel right sending him there for a second year, so we started looking elsewhere and a good friend recommended Bright Shining Stars to us. He was very apprehensive, but hopeful when he started the next school year, but the complete change in him is really thanks to Miss Diana and her wonderful, understanding, and gentle teaching style. It took him some time to come around but he began to love school again, he made friends, he came home bubbly and excited to share all the things he learned with me, and I’m confident now that he is ready for kindergarten! He knows all his letters and sounds, and his self confidence and social aptitude has improved significantly! We are so grateful to Miss Diana for everything she taught our son, and can’t wait to send our daughter in a couple more years ❤️

We couldn't be more happy with our year here at Bright Shinning Stars!! Miss Diana was fantastic with all the students and we loved her teaching style! He excelled so much and would highly recommmend to anyone looking for a great preschool. Price point also worked very well for our budget!

I heard about this sweet little play based preschool from another mom and when I went to check it out I really liked the vibe and the teaching style there. I'm so glad I chose Bright Shining Stars Preschool for my son. We started with the 2 day a week class and next year he will move on to the 3 day a week class and my daughter who is a year younger will start the two day a week classes. When we enrolled we were living in Meridian and the location was very convenient but we bought a home in Nampa a couple months ago and are choosing to still send our kids here - that's how much we love it and the teachers. My son needed a lot of socializing experience which he definitely received and is doing much better in that area. Every day of school he has so much fun and learns new concepts. He connects the dots between abstract things. He has always been inquisitive but I have found he asks even more thoughtful questions after learning new concepts at school. I enjoy how they encourage the children to be independent, such as teaching them a technique of how to easily put their winter coats on by themselves. They teach them to be kind but also to have resilience when someone is not nice to them. Miss Lindsay is the teacher for the two day a week class and she is just such a gentle and warm person. I can't wait to see my son continue to flourish next year and for my daughter to begin her education here as well.

My daughter went to this preschool for 2 years and grew so much. I worried about her kindergarten readiness because of her early August birthday but now feel confident that she will succeed thanks to Miss Diana. Miss Diana has become a “friend” and my daughter views her as part of our family. My daughter loved going to school here and it made me feel great to drop her off with no tears and pick her up full of excitement. I recommend this school to everyone and it has a convenient location. I like that it is at the end of a dead end road so I feel safe with the lack of traffic back there. It was great to get the months curriculum so I could talk to my daughter about what they would be working on that day. I loved seeing the pictures of the month. If my daughter was having a hard time at drop off Miss Diana was great about sending me pictures to show me that she was in a better mood soon after I left. We are so appreciative to have had Miss Diana and my daughter is sad she can’t take her to kindergarten with her.
