I wasted one week working with Steve and Angie, the Office and Sales Manager, on attempting to get insurance for a $1.6 million farm loan. Angie balked at having to write multiple FEMA flood insurance coverages for each of my farm buildings because it would take up her time too much. She actually complained to my lender trying to put it all under one coverage to save time. I thought notifying Steve, would had resolved the unexpected behavior of Angie. I had to explain to him it was not a conventional loan, that it was a farm, and then he got upset that my lender wanted coverage on an additional building. This was 7 days after he took my file. Subsequently he exclaimed he gave up, and no longer wanted to provide coverage. I'm sorry my Lender inconvenienced you! We mutually agreed that we regretted the fact that I had contacted him to help with my insurance needs. I don't think Steve had ever talked to my lender directly, and relegated all communication through his Office Manager. This is likely fine for regular loans, but not for commercial loans that have specific requirements which require special attention.
