What a waste of time. Told us we were covered so I cancelled my old policy. Then State Farm or the underwriter tells us we need a build an access or set of stairs up to a fire escape or we'll get dropped. Scrambling in the middle of the night to get the old policy rewritten which isn't easy in fire company.
In her response she says that she was responsive and spent a lot of time with us. She wasn't honest with us. Never did she say that we were subject to underwriting and not to cancel the old policy. And out structure is not at risk of death or some other insurance drama. Stay away!

Donald, unfortunately your home had a serious risk for injury or even death potential and State Farm underwriting chose to not insure your home if you did not want to make the repairs. When you transfer the risk to an insurance company, they have the right to deny or ask for repairs to support their decision to take on half a million dollar risk. If you chose not to make those repairs needed to be insured by the best insurance company, then that is your right to do so. State Farm did insure your home during the underwriting process. Additionally, I spent numerous hours with you and your family on the phone and on your application and I would not consider this a waste of time. My customer service to you was always very responsive and timely.

We have had nothing but the best experience with Charity and her State Farm Team! We have moved all of our personal and business policies to State Farm because of the great coverage and pricing as well as the amazing people in their office.
