Life doesnt have to be perfect to be wonderful. I would say this is something Travis Dean has helped me realize. He embraces his own imperfections and I think it makes him better relate to his clients. We have been seeing Travis Dean for over 7 years. Our lives changed in an instant and he met with us during a critical time in our lives. He has since been the glue that holds our family together. For myself personally, he has been able to break through many years of repressed feelings. I write this review because we are going through some very serious things right now and his dedication to our familys success is unwavering.

My husband and I worked with Travis after a deployment for about 3 months. He was helpful in aiding us through a transition in our life and listened with empathy and kindness. He was able to get a through a difficult time, and I am grateful for that help. After 3 months I started to meet with him individually. He had helped me with a transition of deployment that I felt comfortable to continue to meet with him. He was open about his religious preferences and that he worked with BYU-Idaho. Some people may like that, but at the time I was starting a faith transition and felt that when I started to share my difficulties with spirituality he bore his testimony to me. We are all human and go through difficult chapter in our life and he must have been going through one because most of my sessions were him talking about his personal life. There started to be a shift, and I no longer felt he helping me. He still continued to talk about himself and left maybe the last 10 minutes for me to bring up my issues for the week. It was frustrating to have to continue to advocate for myself to a therapist who should have been helping me.
