I have had an average experience with BFS up until today. I called in just to see if they had my door ready and got pushed through to a persons voicemail which wasnt really helpful since I just needed to know if my door was ready for me to pick up. I hung up and I called back and a lady picked up. She seemed like she would be able to help and told me she would put me through to someone. She connected me to a guy and was immediately asked if I could hold. I was on hold for almost 15 minutes (this isnt a cell phone companythis is a local construction supply store15 min???) and finally I hung up and called again. First thing the guy who picked up asked was if I could hold. I said, I just was on hold for 15 min!! Then he asked, ok, what can I help you with? I just need to see if my door is ready for me to pick up. He said, let me put you through. I was sent to a voicemail again. Giving up, I left a sincerely respectful voicemail (recognizing it likely wasnt the guys fault who Im leaving the voicemail for) and asked if he could call me back and let me know. I didnt hear back. Nice people, but I despise poor customer service processes.

Lumber yard guys are the WORST! Management and staff doesnt care! They are rude and lazy. This is my 4th bad experience back there. They make you wait forever and make you get your stuff. I was waiting 30 min before I went on my own when I went to the back they were all huddled up talking. The time before that They told me they had no time to help me. Ive talked to numerous people about it but they just laugh it off. They dont care. Very unprofessional. If they hate their job or its to much get a new one!!

Currently building a new home. Working with BMC has been a terrible experience. Trusses built wrong (we now have a 7' ceiling so non-liveable space above garage), more trusses built wrong and had to wait weeks for them to get right, wrong siding delivered - weeks to get it removed from sight and right stuff delivered, wrong shakes delivered... twice! corners for shakes were supposed to arrive last Wednesday... they somehow ordered skylights? still waiting on corner shakes.  they're constantly putting our project manager in a bad position... but it's not him, it's them. DO NOT USE!
