I went to this store for the first time on April 15 at around 10pm. When I walked towards the refrigerator isle the person on the intercom announced that attention was needed on the refrigerator isle.
I found that very strange because there had been no announcements prior to this - for context I am black. I lingered in the store a while at the checkout to see if there would be any announcements made when the white people go in the isles and there was none.
There wasnt even an announcement that closing time was approaching. The person felt so comfortable with racially profiling me that they even announced it over the intercom.
Its 2024 and this is still a conversation we having - its honestly so exhausting. The fact that the worker was so bold in his racism is sickening.
I ended up going to the other Albertsons to buy what I needed because they obviously dont want black business at this store.
