Devin Fahrner with Idaho Reverse Mortgages and American Pacific Mortgage made the potentially scary process of a reverse mortgage for my 91 year old mother as easy as possible. His clear and quick communication, explanation of the process and his attention to detail and follow-thru were what made our experience so enjoyable. Living in California - everything was taken care of long-distance -- but it was like Devin was just down the street. From the initial fact-finding call to the funding of the loan, Devin was with us the entire way. Devin's "video presentations" of our loan options -- walking us thru the different loans -- was incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly via video -- and we were able to follow along with our printed documents. And since they were on video, we could watch them over and over again - and share them with other family members involved in the process. Then -- a personal conference call helped us narrow down our choices. Plus, he offered great advice and information regarding the process -- from the counseling my mother needed to complete -- to the FHA Appraisal of her home. Devin made everything so easy and transparent and we knew what to expect the entire time. With my mother being 91 and legally blind, Devin also assisted us in securing a special option where on many of the loan documents, my mother could sign her name with an "X" -- making the loan signing so much easier for her. After this 3-4 month process, I feel like I have a new friend...not just an incredible loan officer. I highly recommend Devin Fahrner and Idaho Reverse Mortgage/American Pacific Mortgage if you are considering a Reverse Mortgage or any mortgage.
