I had a cavity that needed to be taken care of. After the anesthetic was injected and allowed to take effect, then Dr. Loftus started drilling. As the drilling got a bit deeper I felt pain and he then stopped drilling for a short time to allow the anesthetic work more. After that I was pain free. At my age (73) I heal much slower from dental work than I did 20-30 years ago. Once the swelling went down after a day my bite fit perfectly, no unevenness. That tooth was sensitive to both temperature (hot/cold) as well as pressure from biting. As stated, I heal slowly and now after two weeks that tooth is back to normal without sensitivity to temperature nor pressure from biting. I highly recommend Dr. Loftus. Oh, and he has great staff too!
