Black Bear Diner

Came here for an early Sunday dinner while in Boise. There was plenty of parking, probably due to the time we went. We were seated very shortly after entering, and our waitress was quick to get us our drinks. The place had a welcoming atmosphere, and everyone seemed friendly. I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes/ gravy, and broccoli. My meal also came with a salad which was okay. My wife had the turkey club sandwich with French fries. Both meals were very good, and the portions were adequate. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend coming here for a good meal if you're ever in Boise.

Now that I've eaten here a few times I can say that this place is amazing! I just had the Chili Cheddar Burger and it was amazing, I'm actually sitting at the table writing this review right now. Hello, 2nd burger review. (No Picture) I had the california burger, not much to say as I can't put it in words, it was so good. 10/10 3rd Burger Review Parmesean Sourdough Cheeseburger Oh my friggin gosh, This Burger was actually sooo good. I'm really happy to say that food and service quality never faulter. I plan on reviewing all of the burgers here! Parking: Location has nice parking, no spots are far from the building, there's always about 3+ spots open even when it's busy. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, interior decoration is Bear based. Some of the support beams have little bears carved into them.

Black bear isn't what it used to be. The food over all was maybe 6 out of 10. My husband's steak was flavorless and cold, he wasn't even given a knife for it. The mimosa he ordered was a cheap tiny bottle of sparkling wine, and it tasted awful. My tri tip sandwhich was oddly hard and soggy at the same time. The chibatta wasn't even toasted. The kids pancakes were soggy, but our waitress was fantastic. Very sweet girl.

Worst black bear I've ever been to! We waited at the front entrance with no response from the staff. Finally, the cook came out and sat us at a table, where we sat for 20 minutes while the two waitresses chatted with others. 3 separate times without even bringing us water. I love this chain of restaurants but I will not go back to this location!!!

Black Bear Diner, great atmosphere, awesome food, and the servers are really sweet. I love this place
