Communications with the manager and designer arent satisfactory or timely. Several emails regarding corrections and new work have not been answered or even explained.

Thoren designed our yards and complied with what we wanted. Now we'er trying to be patient while stuff grows. Bens crew did a great job preparing the yards for the new landscape and kept us informed of what was occurring. My only sugestion for the future is to be more specific when on the job and notify customers when they are arriving. if you're a potential customer, give Thoren or the other guys at Aloha a shot at your project.

Originally, I hired Aloha to grade my South property line for a new fence. They came, agreed to the job, and up-sold me new sidewalks and a new back patio. The landscapers came and did their part, cleared areas removed a tree and some stumps, and told the fencers to go ahead. My total was 14,000 dollars for the landscapers. However, they FORGOT!!! to grade the south property line (oops!!!!!!) so the fence is jagged all along the bottoms. A 300 dollar credit was applied to my account. gee, thanks. The first time they laid the patio, it was sloping towards my house, so they ripped it up and redid it. Unfortunately they cracked a neighboring slab of concrete removing the incorrectly sloped one. Instead of removing the cracked slab, they just patched it. Visually, it is obvious. When the concrete guy was sent to my house, he said they patch city sidewalks all the time like that. Also, the designer told me there would be 2 steps going down from the front yard to the back with a retaining wall the same height as the 2 steps. This was necessary because there is a basement window level with bottom of the 2 steps. When their concrete guys came to lay the concrete, because the property line and patio weren't graded, the concrete guys decided to do a 7 in curb instead of a retaining wall 2 steps high. Also, because dirt wasn't moved for 2 steps down, they decided to make the first step 7 feet long, instead of 7 inches, without ever talking to me. I would have had to either slope to dirt towards the basement window so all the water went into my basement, or cover up the window so i can raise the dirt level. neither option is good. So, they tore out the curb and put in a 14" wall. This helped, except it was laid in the rain just before a snow storm. For whatever reason, they said calcium in the concrete, the wall is STREAKY and DISCOLORED and has never dried (from nov. to feb., it still hasn't dried to match the rest of the patio). I was told that if the cracks and drips didn't "disappear" by the spring they would come back and re do the job, however I do not have this in writing. So, I paid 9,000 of the 14,000. I planned to pay the rest after the patio is fixed and the job is done. In the mean time, they sent me and invoice today threatening to send me to collections and PUT A LIEN ON MY PROPERTY if i do not pay in full by next week. Would you pay full price for this patio? Honestly, there are several other issues I had with this project. I NEVER do online reviews, but because this company will not acknowledge that the job is not done, I felt the need to. I am supposed to pay in full and hope that they come back and finish later? No way, not in this world. I guess I will have to ask the better business bureau what my options are.
