First Hawaiian Bank, where time stands still and your patience is put to the test! If you're looking for a bank that's a throwback to the late '90s, look no further. Well, let me entertain you with my latest adventure into the world of banking. Buckle up, folks, because this tale is about to take you on a rollercoaster ride through the wonders of modern banking, or should I say, "modern-ish." So, there I was, excited to do some online banking with First Hawaiian Bank, thinking it would be as smooth as butter on a hot Hawaiian roll. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a time-traveling journey back to 1999. Before I get to that... let's talk about their telephone customer support. I'm pretty sure they have a direct line to the past because I could've almost watched an entire episode of "60 Minutes" during the solid 50 minute hold time that I endured before getting some help. But hey, I guess patience is a virtue, right? Now, let's move on to their website and app. Remember the good old days when the internet was a novelty and websites were just figuring out how to be user-friendly? Well, First Hawaiian Bank seems to have a nostalgic fondness for that era. Their website and app are like a virtual time capsule, complete with a navigation system that will have you feeling like you're playing a game of "Where's Waldo." Finding what you need online is like searching for buried treasure, and you'll need a pirate's map to guide you through the system. Want to do anything slightly more advanced than checking your balance? Prepare to put on your best '90s outfit and head to a physical branch because, apparently, that's the only way to get things done. Want to wire some funds to another bank? Branch. Want to e-sign some documents? No such thing here... Branch. It's like they missed the memo about the whole "convenience of online banking" thing that other banks have embraced. In conclusion, if you're looking for a bank that will transport you back in time to the days of AOL and dial-up internet, First Hawaiian Bank is your ticket to the past. Just be prepared to wait, both on the phone and in line at the branch. It's like a quirky, retro-themed amusement park, minus the cotton candy.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Try calling the bank to correct an error they madewait times are insane, but if you opt to stay on the line because they never called back when you opted that choice, the system hangs up on you after waiting 40 minutes. An going to close this account.

This is one of the worst banks in Waianae. First Hawaiian Bank in Waianae. It's not even lunch time, and the line is long.. Two tellers open, but if someone with a business transaction comes in. You are down to one teller. You have one woman that asks you. How can I help you when you walk in. Yet, there is NOTHING she can do. Why don't they have more tellers!! It's always like this no matter what time you come in. Hire MORE TELLERS!!! Or customer service people ... This is ridiculous.... Or better yet. I will move my banking somewhere else....and let others know too!!

Service is super slow. Everytime I come in there's only two tellers with a long line. I could only imagine if they would open on Saturday's the line would be out the door.
