Not worth it for the price, we payed for a nice dinner, but didnt get one. The atmosphere is great, but the service was lacking. Our waitress was very kind, but not the most attentive (considering she had about 4 tables including us). The bartender was not good. We waited for about an hour for our first drink, only to find out that they were out of two of the ordered drinks. When they finally came, they were incredibly watered down, probably from sitting on the counter for so long. The food was alright, the fish was great. The pasta was just mediocre and the burger was bad. We called it early, no 2nd drink order, and no desert, we just wanted to leave.

Admittedly, this is a restaurant with one of the worlds best views on the planet. I have been coming to this magnificent island since the early 1980s and visited this property many times. I love 1 Kitchens cool design. The daily breakfast buffet and ala carte menu items are a real treat! This restaurant and the entire magical property are an unforgettable experience for all of ones senses!

Breakfast buffet was great. For dinner, bread was fantastic. Expected more elaborate entres for a hotel of this nature. Instead of a shoulder cut or new york, I would expect a ribeye and filet. Red snapper was prepared great, but the textures of the dish were repetitive. Only provided a paper napkin rather than cloth and lighting was too dim.

Really the only bright spot in the whole night was our server, Jennie. She was delightful and did her best to make sure we had a great experience. However, the rest of the service was very disappointing and for the price point my family and I expected better. Upon arriving the hostess seemed confused and said that some of our party had already been seated which didnt make sense since we all walked in together. We brushed this off as we understand these things happen. After being seated we were looking to pick out a bottle of wine but were unsure which kind so the manager was asked to come over and make some suggestions. Her general demeanor as she came over indicated she wasnt particularly happy to be bothered. I might also add it wasnt very busy. Once we decided on drinks It took nearly 45 minutes to receive them. My drink was fine but others in my party reported they seemed watered down like they had been sitting for a while before being delivered. Our appetizers came out quickly and were delicious. However nobody came over and bussed our plates. Our server seemed confused that nobody had come over to do so as our entrees were about to arrive. As far as the main courses are concerned, they were decent. But for a place that has a $35 dollar burger, we were expecting more, ya know? The beautiful atmosphere and wonderful server werent enough to make this a great dining experience when every other aspect was lacking. For the price point you can definitely find better in the Princeville area.

Thankful that we got an RSVP. We showed up an hour early but they were able to sit us within 10 minutes. They also allowed us to hang out on the lanai and checked out a few views. We started with the grilled shrimp as an appetizer, it was absolutely yum! I said the best grilled shrimp I had on Kauai during my 10 days stay. We ordered the red snapper and island chicken for dinner. The red snapper was so good. I would order it again. It came with blended cauliflower and a lettuce wedge. The chicken is not something I would recommend and its what made me rate this place very low. The chicken was very dry and not a lot of flavor. I liked the wilted greens it came with. I had the just pina no colada (zero proof) for my drink. It was very refreshing and not too sweet. We finished with the POG panna cotta. Stay away! Nothing authentic about that dessert. It came with processed toppings. I was expecting fresh fruit and it was literally bites of syrup and very sweet cream. We only had one bite and told our server that it was not good. She was able to take it off our tab. The bathrooms smelled amazing with a lot of touchless features. Overall, the atmosphere is gorgeous but stay away from the chicken.
