After trying to give Swift the opportunity to do the right thing and refund me for the damage they did to my car They deny and ignore my communications to this day After hearing from someone else who had a really bad experience with this shop and with speaking to yet two more mechanics I am positive that this shop incorrectly installed two different tire sensors resulting in both sensors being bent as they go onto rim and tire resulting in bent leaking valves and ripped tires Below is the letter I wrote to swift with all the details As a single Mother who works teaching piano (with very little financial support and no physical support from the Dad) I do not have money to spare. For that reason, when I needed a new tire for my Nissan 2018 Rogue (which I have a pretty hefty car payment on) I went to Scott, a mechanic you may know since he recommended you. Unfortunately when he put the new tire on, he broke the tire sensor and as he was not able to put one of those on, he recommended you. He paid for the sensor. I brought the car in to you on Tuesday 15th February and your shop did that work for which you invoiced Scott since he had broken the sensor. The next day I did not go anywhere and the following day I drove up to the North Shore for work, that was Thursday the 17th Feb. I got back during the dark and woke up to find the tire completely flat. I had not hit anything, gone over any big potholes, I was on paved roads the entire time. (This was the brand new tire ) I brought the car back to your shop and was informed that not only was the sensor broken beyond repair but there was a huge tear in the tire that they thought could only have been caused by a large knock of some sort. They offered to put a new sensor on for free but not to replace the tire. At this time they put a regular valve and switched the back tire to the front. So I had to have the old, bald tire on the back. This was on Friday Feb 18th. Then when the new sensor arrived I went back on Wed Feb 23rd and your shop put on the new sensor which I had ordered. Now last Wed March 9, just two weeks later, the back tire sensor has broken and the tire keeps going flat. It may be old but it never went flat before. I paid 150 plus another 35 so 185 total for the mistakes swift Made The third sensor was installed perfectly by a different shop and Ive had no problems (they also admitted that they made the mistake Swift made with the Nissan sensor when they first started up and didnt know yet what they were doing ) Im not the only one who has been ripped off by them so no DO not go there Its fine to make mistakes but the shop needs to take responsibility for it Service: Tires
