A true gem in the north Kona area, near the top of Hina Lani Road. Vacation rentals, reasonably priced, with a beautiful spa area, which includes a saltwater pool, Jacuzzi and infrared sauna. The grounds are well landscaped, with hundreds of fruit trees and extensive organic gardens, the views of the ocean and sunsets are spectacular, and the people are very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to their guest's needs.

This place is now a mixture of 3 pay by night rooms and many permanent/semi-permanent tenants, a fact I very much wish I had known prior to booking as it would have procluded me from doing so. In a ten night stay I was only able to get two nights of uninterrupted sleep owing to noise and light from the third floor permanent tenant and their guests. The manager Rae (who has also left a glowing review of his own place) and his solutions were so problematic for us that I began to think he worked for the third floor tenant. So I paid $240 a night to sleep far worse than I do at my apartment in the middle of my city of several hundred thousand back at home, but I never will again from these people.

(Translated by Google) Great place with great people! Ray was very helpful and had great tips for the island. Benjamynn gave us a warm welcome, showed us the great area and brought us closer to the history of the Banyan Tree Sanctuary. We harvested fresh bananas and macadamia nuts. The room was very clean and spacious and was well equipped from the aftersun spray to the charger. A highlight is the salt water pool, the hot tub and the sauna. We would definitely check in there again on our next stay!

I took over an hour to write my first review gushing over how amazing this place is, which apparently didnt post So now Im just going to hit a few key points: 1.) I would come back ANYTIME as this is exactly how Hawaii should feel. Peaceful. Serine. Beautiful. 2.) The people living and working on the land are AMAZING So is everyone drawn here meaning the other guests are fabulous! 3.)The extras complete the place - hot tub, sauna, pool, decor, offering of massage and smoothies! 4.) If you go you have to get a Lomilomi massage from Yuka. She knew exactly what my body needed both physically and energetically and it was the most amazing experience! Top 5 of my life. Not only that but I had a really rough birth - flat on my back - 5 months ago and it caused so much damage to my hips and lower back. I could barely walk at first afterwards and before I went I was still limping around after 5 months of healing care. Ive had ZERO pain since my massage. Zero its beyond words. Go to Banyan Tree Sanctuary. You will NOT regret it
