The beauty of this location (Koko Head District Park) cannot be overstated. I was absolutely shocked at how few people were here. We had the beach to ourselves and one other lady for almost an hour and then a family came. Most people stay up at the lookout but the beach below is spectacular. It is the beach from "From Here to Eternity". I'm too young to know what that means but older people will be impressed by that The blowhole is something to behold as well. You will need to be stable on your feet to get down and up as it's not really a "path" to get down. What IS impressive is the view from this spot. Easily the best pictures we got on the island! The colours and waves are brilliant and will make the 30min drive outside of Waikiki worth it. There are 3 or 4 spectacular spots on this stretch of the highway that you need to see! This is one of the first right after Haunama Bay! Don't want to oversell it, but this area will probably be a highlight of your trip / life! :) Koko Head, Blowholes and a beautiful beach are all within a 5min drive of each other!
