This place turn out to be a scam, we went there with friends on a Christmas eve, spend about 200 each and gave about 20% tips. Two days later I noticed that tips amount was wrong (I always gave an amount to rounds up to 10 and take a photo of a check), they added about 10$ to the tips and same for my friend. Did a CR dispute, but that's crazy experience.

We were alone in the restaurant, the waiter was silly/confused but it was an enjoyable experience. I recommend the mentaiko pasta, it was out of this world (a bit too expensive tho, not worth the 50$ price, but its Hawaii). The desserts are nothing special, I suggest going to a patisserie later.

My wife and I are from Florida and just had an amazing evening at the Herringbone. I had this one of a kind banded snapper that was steamed in Chinese sauces and vegetables along with the side of octopus. It was absolutely amazing, like nothing Id ever had before. My wife is a vegetarian and she ate a lot of it. She also had the trumpet mushroom risotto. Dessert was excellent, fine wine selection, beautiful outdoor space. Everybody was so incredibly friendly and welcoming. We really loved this place and hope to return soon. I would give the Herringbone our highest recommendation and praise. Mahalo Ron and Laura Tulin

I likely won't return to this restaurant. The salmon was severely undercooked, and the steak was excessively fatty and lacked flavor due to the seasoning being served on the side. I've given it 3 stars solely because they kindly offered to either replace the undercooked food or remove it from the bill.

If you like sweet duck, stop reading. If you think duck should be served seared, hot, and with a slightly salty flavor, heed this warning. To preface this, Ive eaten all kinds of meals from cheap to expensive all around the world. I understand local flavors can be quite different, and I try to eat and like almost anything presented to me. However not this meal. :( Three of us ordered the Duck, and one person ordered the risotto. The risotto was great. We all split The octopus app which was good too, both in flavor and how tender the octopus was. The Duck however came out cold. They layered it up in a tower and the top piece was a bit of seared fat. Presentation was nice but it came out cold, Well, just above room temperature. I tried the fat hoping it would be salty and crispy. It was bitter with a slightly sweet taste. Mostly bitter. Not good. I continued to eat the duck which was also just above room temperature and had been covered in a sweet sauce. It was borderline disgusting. It took a good 5 minutes to get a waitresses attention and get her to bring some salt to the table. After adding copious amounts of salt, I was finally able to drown out the weird sweet sauce and bring out the flavor of cold duck. Yay. The patty of what looked like hashbrowns on the bottom of the pile was now a sopping mushy mess - I tried a few bites, but it had a pungent odor of raw puke smell. I couldnt finish. To top it off, when we asked the waitress to split the bill, instead of putting my and my partners meals plus half the app on our ticket, she split the total, including our friends drinks, onto both bills. We didnt drink. Who splits alcohol on a bill? Lazy incompetent servers. Parking: The sign entering the parking garage makes it look like its free for the 1st hour, $2 for the second hour and $2 for the third. We got billed $12 after staying just over an hour. After reading smaller print, apparently we would have had to get out parking validated to get those prices. The print is small that mentions validation, and the cheap prices are much easier to read. The sign is designed this way on purpose I believe.
