Review is for initial consult as I didn't need re-roofing after all. Mark spent a lot of time explaining how our insurance "estimator" said: "roofing shingles have major granular loss". Because of that we couldn't get our homeowner's policy renewed. It literally was just the edges of a few Presidential Architect 80 shingles where the water runs into the gutter and was no where near major. Marc lost a job from us by telling us the truth that our roof should last another 10-15 years. He even went further to climb on top of the roof and snapped a photo of the back side of our roof which was in excellent condition. Insurance co. would still not insure us; however, agent has another company lined up for us. We will be sure to call Mark when we do need to replace the roof or if our solar goes bad. (Yes, he can do it all from solar to roofing!)

MRC has reroofed 2 of my houses in the past ten years. The quality and workmanship were Outstanding! Both houses required new flat roof modified bitumen and one house was also coated with silicone. Recently, Jon at MRC was able to provide me with a detailed roof report with photos/notes, to expedite renewal of my policy with the insurance company, based on his report. Our roof sustained wind damage and we found asphalt shingles in our yard. We initiated an insurance claim and called a few roofing companies to provide free quotes. MRC Roofing wasn't the cheapest quote we received but because of the thoroughness of the quote with pictures, notes and materials used for the job we went with MRC and it was a good thing also because Jon at MRC provided enough information about our roof to the insurance company that they did in fact settle on our claim for a new roof. MRC came recommended by Poncho's Solar. Poncho's and MRC worked hand in hand to coordinate the job with as little downtime as possible for both our PV electric and hot water solar systems on the roof that needed to be detached and re-attached. The insurance claim also included money for the solar scopes. MRC was able to complete the job in one day and I had a new roof. Our original roof was a lite color but years of algae had turned it black and made for a hot living space in our high ceiling living room. Our attic was hot also. Jon took a laser temperature reading for us and showed the attic to be well over 100 degrees. We now have a solar attic fan also and our living room is noticeably cooler. I would highly recommend MRC Roofing.
