I don't know her, but I saw a video of a highschool friend having a freakout because she required them to wear a mask, so I think she's great.

You know that feeling you get when you go on a vacation from the familiar, and then return to have your frame of mind refreshed and appreciate what's in front of you easier? That was kind of how I would describe the result of my first session, and I'm enthusiastic about following through with the treatment.

My daughter saw Dr Armstrong a total of 3 times for bio feedback. The first two times were on time and professional. It was easy to setup an appointment and the receptionist sent me the paperwork to fill out prior to the initial appointment. The third time she went Dr Armstrong had 2 patients waiting for probably biofeedback including my daughter and was having difficulty with the equipment to set up for the first patient before my daughter. By the time she got it up and running it was past time for my daughters appointment. she gave me attitude because I told her we had to go as my mom was injured at the time so my dad was our only driver. Definantly not what I call good dr etiquette and dont recommend her. I will say neurofeedback does help my daughter though.

I want to start this review by saying I am not a patient of Dr. Armstrong, my son and I were scheduled for a chiro appt next door. There is a saying "you don't get a second chance to make a first impression".  My first impression of Dr. Armstrong unfortunately is not good. Dr. Armstrong's office is right next door to my Chiropractor. My son and I arrived a little early and the office was closed for lunch break so we waited in the hallway.  One way I get my 15 year old son to open up and talk with me (which we know can be a challenge) is to play games. So I had a small empty plastic mint container I was going to throw away but decided to toss it back and forth with him as we talked story. Not even 5 minutes into talking  story and Dr. Armstrong opens her door (I looked up her photo after this incident) and says to my son in front of me "that's not appropriate behavior for the hall way!"  Then shuts her door. I was so confused... what was inappropriate? Talking story in the empty hallway, tossing an empty mint container... laughing? Why didn't she speak to me? I didn't know talking with my teen in public was inappropriate... WTH?!? I didn't plan on writing this review but it really bothered me all night that Dr. Armstrong's chosen career is to help people in a service industry.  As an adult and  "professional" she could have handled this incident in many different ways. All she had to say was "hi, we are doing treatment could you keep it down"? I would have apologized to her for the noise and stopped talking, no problem. But the fact that it was lunch break, no one was doing business in her or my chiro"s office and we weren't rough housing  (just talking story) really bothered me. After looking at some of her other reviews I see she has done this kind of thing before to her paying clients. Half of the success in serving people is how you treat them and show them respect. Just saying.

I'm not sure how to start the review but I'll start from the beginning I suppose...It was easy to get hold of Armstrong's office and messages are returned promptly. Receptionist is very friendly , welcoming and helpful. Easy to reschedule. She mailed forms to fill out for my daughter before the appointment.Insurance covered it because according to Armstrong my daughter already had a diagnosis and was referred to her this way. That's false. The neuropsychologist my daughter saw didn't recommend biofeedback. It was from my own research I thought we'd try if I could find someone local who'd try since she's just 4. The first appointment took about two hours. Out of all 3 times we went two we were seen on time with no foreseeable issues with Armstrong. One time my daughter wasn't cooperating but she was hungry so that was expected. I've seen good results from it to be honest but we will not continue with Armstrong because today though we arrived almost 15 minutes prior to the appointment there was another lady waiting for biofeedback I'm guessing but when Armstrong was preparing her biofeedback it was already past time to start ours. But she made us wait then had trouble with the biofeedback system so we didn't start until 10:45am and our appointment was for 10:30am. I told Armstrong we need to leave at 11:30 because my mom has a fitness appointment. Now normally my mom drives herself but she had hurt her leg last month so my dad's the only driver to take everyone around.  So Armstrong said well normally appointments are 55 minutes long and I told her my dad's our only driver and we need to get my mom to a fitness class so she goes on to say you need to reschedule your appointments so you can make it work and also leave time for in case equipment messes up basically.Basically she gives me a bunch of bull because she IS trying to squeeze in two patients to the same time and she IS the one running late, she IS the one having difficulty getting equipment ready yet she's placing blame on me. I don't like rude disrespectful drs and I don't butter up any of my reviews either. It is real, raw and honest. I have no need to sugarcoat my reviews.  But while I think it would be helpful long term for my daughter's seizures unless I find another dr who will take my daughter on and covered by insurance we will not continue.
