Dismissive, she didnt care about my persistent pelvic pain, referred me to an orthopedist instead of ordering a pelvic mri that was suggested by the orthopedist but out of his area of expertise. She said cant do anything about pre menopause symptoms, not even a hormone test. Too bad my previous obgyn moved to the mainland and I had to see this doctor. Works with doctors who dont accept new patients, hoping to find an obgyn who cares.

Not a trauma informed provider. We had gone over my history of trauma 10 minutes prior to the pap smear, yet Allison did not give any forewarning of when she was going to insert the speculum. I could understand if she was a new OBGYN. However, this is not the case. Trusting a stranger to conduct such intimate exams is in itself stressful. This experience was both retraumatizing and devastating. It was unnecessary and preventable. Being able to trust another provider in the future with such invasive testing will be much harder.

Dr. Allison Shigezawa's office is located at Queens POB II . There is parking in the garage. Her office is clean and the staff really nice and also professional.  It's not hard to get an appointment and she can also talk to you through video to discuss things. Your test results are easy and quick to view. She is very thorough and easy to talk to. I highly recommend her.
