Chengdu Taste

As a someone who is from Chengdu, I can say at least the food we ordered were pretty authentic. The service was great and we appreciated the recommendations from the waiter since it was our first time there. Cumin lamb was surprisingly good and so was the mung bean noodles. Big portions - 2-3 dishes are enough for two.

The price is reasonable compared to the quantity. The taste of the boiled beef bean paste is very strong, and it tastes a bit sour. It is recommended to order only one portion of the spicy/boiled series such as Shuizhu xx and Maoxuewang. The taste is quite similar. There was almost no service. I placed an order on my mobile phone and the waiter brought the dish. The waiter walked around with two large empty plates in front of us but did not take them away or change the plates for us. I tip simply because the price is reasonable and the taste is good.

As a Chongqing girl, I can tell this is very authentic Sichuan food! I always use Mapo Tofu as a test and it didnt disappoint me - the color and the taste of numbness is as good as it could be done in Chongqing. Price is very reasonable. We spent less than $80 for 4 ppl.
