Stay away from this doctor’s office if you care for your family or loved ones. Very unprofessional and incompetent. I was recently in the ER on the 9th of August and got discharged approximately at 1:30am on the 10th. I called my family doctor’s to get in to see him for an ER follow up the next day and was able to see him but when I got there he said he doesn’t have my ER records. We kindly asked him to call Straub hospital to request for my records and he said it’s our responsibility to bring or request for those records. I then asked my niece to help me call the hospital to request for my records since I don’t speak English but was told my doctor’s office needs to do that and not the patient or the niece because that is against the HIPPA Law. I was sent home without being seen that day because they were not able to get my records. They said they couldn’t get a hold of medical records. However, when my niece called medical records, she was able to talk to them and was instructed to have my doctor call them or fax them a request. A few days later on August 13th, i came back to see my family doctor with my niece. My niece asked him to go over my CT if abdomen, he didn’t go over anything in detail with me. He said it’s fine and that’s it. He said he wanted me to see a GI doctor. I agreed to see a GI specialist and my niece kindly asked him for an H. Pylori test due to my symptoms but then he got offended. He asked my niece. “Are you a doctor or a nurse, if you’re a doctor or a nurse you can treat your own uncle and don’t dictate or tell me what to do†my niece explained to him nicely the reason why she asked for that test but he said no and kicked us out of his office. He was very unprofessional. We just requested for a simple breath test to check for H pylori at the lab as we could get the results within 1-2 days rather than waiting for months to get in to see a GI specialist. We were shocked for being treated like that. He wouldn’t listen to us or even ask us why we requested for it. He was very unprofessional and has no bedside manner. He doesn’t care about what the patient has to say. It’s his way or no way.

Horrible experience, not even worth your time. One of my family members was recently discharged from the hospital and as we went into the first appointment the receptionist said that we would have to call the hospital and request it ourselves (they had no records and were unprepared). Obviously that was against hipaa violation we had to come back another day. During the appointment we ask if it was possible to check a certain test, the “professional†provider told us that if we were a doctor or nurse we could help and treat our family member ourselves. The provider proceeded to kick us out of the office and ended our appointment.
