DH Catering + Event Planning

We had the pleasure of working with Sakara throughout our wedding process. Highly recommend a tasting before your event because they have such an adorable cafe called Barefoot Beach Cafe which is right by the ocean. We held our rehearsal brunch there with our guests after our wedding rehearsal. Even though you can get amazing shrimp in the North Shore, DH Catering delivered delicious garlic shrimp that paired lovely with their prime rib which was amazing (and still talked about by our guests)! Tons of options that were all well executed. Loved working with this company and Sakara. She takes pride in her work and everything looked beautiful.

I had a fantastic experience with DH Catering. I was looking for a caterer for a wedding party I was hosting and I was drawn to their website by the photos of their parties they had planned. The taste and design was very high quality. When I began working with Sakara, in spite of her being short staffed due to the pandemic, she was extremely helpful and flexible, especially when I had to change my venue at the last minute. The food was delicious, and I loved the Hawaiian flavors, the presentation stunning and our party was a huge success. And, most of all it was so easy for me as I knew Sakara had everything under control. I highly recommend DH Catering and have only positive things to say about them.

We used DH Catering for our Welcome Dinner the day before our wedding at Barefoot Beach Cafe. The location was PERFECT--I cannot emphasize that enough. The outdoor breeze, the wonderful music by Art and his band, the DELICIOUS food...our guests raved about the food (they're even raving about it a month later!). I will admit...the communication with the team is a bit lacking. It certainly made me nervous when I wouldn't hear back from them and I almost docked a star because of it. But I trusted the process and gave grace as I knew they were short staffed and I'm glad I did bc everything went flawlessly and they came through in the end. Food recs: Aroi Mak Thai steak was everyone's favorite. We also had the guava chicken, fish of the day (delicious swordfish), and Sakara even arranged for special gluten free meals for a few guests. The tuna mac salad was amazing, as was the truffle caprese salad! We did vanilla bean pannacotta for dessert which was light and refreshing. While guests arrived we had them hand-pass smoothies with little umbrellas in them and it was the perfect touch! Overall I am so pleased with how the night went--it was the perfect way to kick off our wedding week and was 100% a highlight of our time there.

My fianc and I were excited to book with DH Catering for our wedding reception at the Barefoot Beach Cafe, but never heard back despite reaching out to them through their online booking form, email, text, phone call, and Instagram DM. We just saw an Instagram post of them marketing their service and sharing their link to book with them. This felt like a slap in the face since weve been trying to get in touch since August 15th. I wanted to ignore the previous review deeming this company unprofessional, but if you dont hear back within 24 hours like their website says, I recommend saving your energy and time and finding another business that cares and respects their customers.

I had my wedding reception at the Barefoot Beach Cafe and planned everything through DH Catering. I was so pleased with how much they handled for us and how easy they made the wedding planning process! They handled our catering, decor, live music, cake, timeline, and more. They were quick to accommodate anything we needed and even suggested solutions for things that we needed help figuring out. Our wedding day was perfect because of them and we cannot thank them enough!
