The Kahala Clinic for Children & Family

Loved my psychiatrist Dr. Martin but had to switch because getting in contact with them for ANYTHING was impossible. Id call, leave a voicemail since no one answers, no call back. They prefer message. I message, no response. I was out of my meds for 10 DAYS until they refilled it because no one was responding. They need a better receptionist. Wouldnt recommend.

I called to book an appointment as a new patient. The automated message said to go to the website and fill out forms. Why make it so difficult to book an appointment with you?

If I could give negative stars I would. I went to see Dr. Bell for a severe eating disorder a few years back. She gave me the wrong diagnosis, disregarded what information I gave her and did not address the most urgent problem at the time, my physical health. During the few months that I was seeing her I became progressively worse. I felt like I had to prove that I was sick enough to deserve the proper treatment I needed. After leaving her treatment I was admitted to the hospital for a heart rate that was in 30bpm. After my horrific experience with Dr. Bell, I met another fellow patient who had ALSO previously went to the Kahala Clinic. Her experience was nearly the same as mine only with another doctor. She needed to be hospitalized as well due to the blatant mishandling and maltreatment provided at this clinic. Ive received the treatment that I needed since then and I am happy and well now. I absolutely cannot and do not want to imagine where I would be if I had continued with her. If you are seeking help/treatment for mental health related issues, especially eating disorders, please do NOT go to the Kahala Clinic.
