It's hard to simply describe how much we loved Strode Montessori. Our daughter attended from 5 months - 18 months old in the infant class, 18 months - 3-years old in the toddler class, then the preschool until she was 5.We interviewed 4 other daycare facilities and Strode was the only one where we left with no doubts or concerns whatsoever, and we knew it was the best choice. We are so lucky we got a spot!Pam, the owner, has always been very responsive and became a trusted advisor as we navigated parenthood. We relied on her for advice and guidance almost as often as we did our pediatrician.The infant room ratio was 1 teacher to 3 infants, but all of the teachers are backups and very involved as needed. You could tell our primary teacher loved our daughter, and our daughter loved her. It was like a family member was taking care of her - the love and care was evident, and the teachers were not simply babysitters.Pam let me store frozen breastmilk there. She had much more freezer space than I had at home. If you have limited freezer space, I know you understand what a welcome offer this is.The toddler room ratio is also low, about 1 teacher to 5 toddlers. Preschool is a little higher. Lunch and snacks are provided.In all three rooms, our daughter thrived. They teach practical lessons, encouraging independence and self-confidence. This is not simply a daycare - they teach and nurture. Our daughter would come home and tell us about the continents, the difference between a moth and a butterfly, how much she loves her teachers, and more.I know this sounds crazy but if you are pregnant and are considering Strode, take a tour and get on the waitlist NOW. You won't regret it.

My daughter started at Strode Montesorri from 4 months old I believe this SCHOOL is the best hidden secret on Oahu. Dont expect this school to be a daycare because your child will come home everyday with surprising knowledge. I was amazed even if she only went there part time. The teachers are loving, nuturing, beautiful individuals. My daughter has become a well adjusted little person because of them. They say it takes a village and i believe they were a part of my village. This is my second post ever on Yelp and no one has asked me to write this post but i felt the need to. If you want your child to be a kind, bright, whole individual this is where you should send them. I am lucky enough to not only work at this program but also to have my daughter attend and see amazing things unfold right before my very eyes. She is a true testimony of the amazing hard work and love the teachers put in each and every day. The staff is amazing and works well with each other. Everyone is able to bring something to the table and together it works. The children grow in big and small ways from the moment they step foot into the classroom and to witness that firsthand makes me want to personally thank Maria Montessori herself for paving such a powerful and amazing path for our little children. Every child is different and the idea of allowing them make their own choices and gain independence as well as build their own self esteem will make for a bright and beautiful future. This program has also taught me a lot on what I can do to better understand and help my child and meet her needs. Thank you Pamela for allowing us to be apart of the Strode Ohana.

After working with this company for six years, I'm so happy that my boys get to go to the infant room! All of the teachers are so warm and loving. During our orientation, Miss Lora held the boys right away, changed their diapers, and she and Miss Trexia helped us feed them while my husband and I talked about our boys' needs and temperaments. Pamela worked with us throughout our orientation, talked us through what we should expect, and gave us wonderful advice for preparing our home environment for twins. She even trimmed their nails since I mentioned it was really hard for us! The love that the teachers have for all of the children was evident from the moment we stepped into the school and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our decision to send them to Strode!
