About
McGlone Mediation Services, LLC

Hi everyone, I'm Ronald McGlone, Conflict Resolution Mediator.

My current focus is to promote dialogue, engagement, and awareness of conflict resolution to enhance employees' interpersonal communication experience in the workplace to help build positive and productive relationships. My background is in education. Before becoming a professional mediator, I worked as the District Ombudsman with the most significant public school district in Washington State. As the district Ombudsperson, I received, processed, identified, investigated, and de-escalated informal complaints levied against the school district by students, parents, families, community members, and community stakeholders. I redirected formal complaints from employees appropriately involving EEOC, HIB, Title IX, and human and civil rights concerns from union employees. I've been meditating with for-profit and non-profit organizations for over ten years. I have recently mediated workplace disputes with the American Federation of Government Employees/Women and Fair Practices Department (AFGE/WFP) and Executive Board members with their Conflict Resolution Program. I am excited to work with you to solve some of your employee's most significant conflict-related challenges.

We should look at Team building as a starting point and not an endpoint when addressing conflict within the workplace. We all know that conflict is inevitable and will happen at some point. The question we must ask is, how can we best manage conflict?

Q. What have you learned, and what strategies do you employ to manage through difficulty? A. I have learned that people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. Being trustworthy, showing courage, demonstrating commitment, and being consistent while maintaining patience while working on one issue at a time are all elements of managing difficulty. Conflict does not need to be a negative thing. Conflict is the absence of asking questions and an opportunity to listen for new information. It determines what will increase the trust between you and the other person. There's Not A Complaint I Don't Appreciate because it is an opportunity for me to listen, learn, and help others have the courage to do the same.
