The healing journey with Dr T-W has been authentically integrative and as a result has manifested a profound shift in our childs ability to function independently in society. She provides a service to the neuroatypical community that is comprehensive, current, and on-par with the best. She is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but also has a down-to-earth, positive, and even-tempered manner that makes her easy to work with and puts you at ease. She listens, works collaboratively with you and welcomes your input and perspective. Once you are in session, you have her full attention and you leave with all your concerns heard and addressed. We have been impressed with her ability to access all the myriad details and nuances of our childs care and to integrate this into a cohesive, effective, actionable plan.
Since our childs 3rd year, we floundered for 16+ years with a host of different local providers and an obscene number of naturopathic and alternative treatments. We also sourced help from one mainland provider, another from another country. The last 7 of these years we instituted biomedical treatment guided by a provider with a medical background. Despite all these interventions we were unable to gain traction. That is, until we switched over to Dr. T-W these last 6 months. Her expertise uncovered a few critical elements that were ineffectively addressed or were not previously identified.
We now have our happy ending! Our child (now young adult) successfully transitioned to a mainland college, is independent and thriving. Prior to these last 6 months with Dr. T-W, we were struggling and at a dead end, seriously thinking of moving house and home to the mainland to support our (now adult) child. Dr. Taketa-Wong has made all the difference in our childs life and our own. We are grateful beyond measure!

Naturopathic medicine is SO scientifically advanced. As I've learned more about it, I've realized that doctors like Dr. Taketa-Wong have a unique understanding of biochemistry. That's why she was able to identify the underlying causes of symptoms like mine. And that's why she continues to prescribe herbs and supplements and certain foods to heal those causes. It's a great combination of advanced science and natural remedies.
I have been a patient of Dr. Taketa-Wong for 10 years. As I've grown older, several chronic conditions have presented themselves. One of them is a severe digestive condition that conventional medicine had no answers for. It was a scary time. I was in misery for months until the doctor did some advanced laboratory tests. The results proved her initial diagnosis, and I've been on a regimen of Chinese and Western herbs and tinctures -- along with certain foods -- that keep my condition under control and allow me to live a fairly normal life. Amazing. Life changing.
Also, I like the way Dr. Taketa-Wong is on the cutting edge of medicine. She's always researching new therapies to help her patients. I'm the beneficiary of that, because I'm using a high tech device called NeurOptimal. It's this amazing new brain technology packed into a laptop. I just listen to music for 30-minutes and it actually retrains my brain. I became a believer because my mood and sleep started improving after only a few sessions. But the most surprising result is that another chronic condition involving bladder issues has also resolved!

Dr. Taketa-Wong is an absolute angel on earth! She is so knowledgeable and has helped me the past two years to overcome an autoimmune disorder and even helped me throughout my entire pregnancy and post-partum journey. She has so much patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in helping you tackle the root cause of whatever symptom/issue youre having.
