Dr Elizabeth George

I've been going to Dr. George for 11 years for annual checkups and a few Illnesses over the years.  She is great to get you in quickly, takes time to discuss things with you, and is not part of a big chain of doctors where you feel like cattle moving through.  The receptionist Cindy is also very friendly and great to work with.

We moved from River Park to Austell and Douglasville but still travel to Woodstock for Dr. George. She listens, she is patient and intuitive and she woke up to assist me at 8 am on a holiday morning. We love her .

Agreed, Dr. George is very limited on services provided. Normally a Internist has an affiliation  with a hospital to admit as needed. I Do not understand why. But if this is important to you then be advised.

I like the fact that this is a small practice which means most of the time you can get same day appointments. Cindy is super sweet as well. However, I dont feel listened to by Dr. George. My most recent visit with her will be my last. After 2 days of feeling yucky, I made a virtual appointment. I let dr. George know I had already tried multiple OTC cough medications so she gave me an rx. 24 hours later, I still wasnt feeling and better so I called and spoke to Cindy and she said she would put in a request for cough syrup to be sent to my pharmacy. A couple of hours I hear back from Cindy and she tells me dr George is recommending OTC cough syrup instead of a prescription one. Problem with that is Ive already spent 2-3 days and $40 on OTC medication that isnt working. One of the main reasons I end up going to a doctor in the first place is because Im not getting any kind of relief from OTC medicine. At this point I will be looking for a new primary care physician or will just stick to going to the minute clinic.
