Hi, Gina. Looking at our call records we do see that the tow you are referring to was initially called in as being just a few feet from the road near dry pavement and could be accessed with the truck. This was not the case and the vehicle was 25-50ft from dry road surface facing traffic, requiring winching to be loaded onto the wrecker. The local police department needed to shut down a single lane of the highway as well for our driver to preform the service. Our dispatchers strive to quote as accurate as possible, however some jobs do require more labor and equipment than others, as was the case here. Please let us know if you do need the photos from the recovery as well as well as a breakdown of the bill if you do not have the electronic reciept.
